MATH401 Topics in Advanced Mathematics
MATH401, MATH403, MATH404 and MATH405 are all Semester 1 papers in advanced mathematics covering both the classical core of the subject and its modern developments and applications.
Each of these papers represents two 10-point modules in mathematics which the student is supposed to select from the current list of available modules (see the section "Modules"). These are usually taken as part of the BSc(Hons), BA(Hons), the PGDipSci or the MSc degree in Mathematics. Please contact the Director of Studies.
Your final mark F in the paper will be calculated according to this formula:
F = (M + N)/2
- M is the Module 1 mark
- N is the Module 2 mark
and all quantities are expressed as percentages.
