Competition Dates
Note that there are two parts to the competition this year.
The first part of the competition is run for a week, from Monday April 8 to Friday April 12, while the second part of the competition will be held on Wednesday May 15.
If possible, all students at a school should sit each part of the competition concurrently.
(Second part only): Should a school fail to organise the competition until a later day (it happens!) then the students from that school may still be eligible for Merit Certificates (and above), but not for monetary prizes.
Other Important Dates
Information on How to Enter
Information on how to enter will be emailed to every secondary school in the country during late January or early February.
Entry Dead-Line (for 2024)
Entries for the first part of the competition should be in by 12pm on Monday April 8. Entries should be submitted on-line as soon as possible. This is especially important this year as you will be able to select a preferred time slot to have your school enter and some time slots will be popular!
We will send out invitations for selected students to participate in the second part of the competition when the results for the first part are announced. Remember that only invited students may participate in the second part of the competition.
If you wish to sit the first part of the competition after Monday April 8 but during the week the first part occurs, you must still enter in by the due date.
Return of Second Part Papers to the Organisers (for 2024)
Time is of the essence. Grading for the competition begins during the University mid-semester break. We cannot guarantee grading if papers have not arrived by Friday May 24.
Announcement of Results
Results should be available by the middle of August.
Prize Winners
Prizes and Prize Certificates will be sent out to schools along with the official results. This should happen some time during Semester Three.
